Cover Reveal : Enchanting Wilder

Declan Wilder has never met a witch he didn’t hate. He is in the business of
protecting the world from all things paranormal, after all. But what happens when
one glimpse at an enchanting McKenna Sawyer sends him spinning? Suddenly,
Declan can’t help but question everything he thought he knew about the world he’s
been sworn to protect for so long.

Plagued by her parents’ death, McKenna Sawyer has no interest in anything outside
of her family’s business and her sister’s happiness. So when she’s assigned to warn a
Pursuer about his impending death, she’s less than prepared for the way he shifts
her world on its axis. And when more time spent with him leads to more secrets
about their world revealed, they must decide how their universes fit together — if at
all.

The paranormal world is gearing up for a fight, and both Declan and McKenna have
been called to battle. But the question remains — will they be fighting for or against
each other?

EXCERPT & TEASERS

Pulling McKenna close to my body, I lock my hands behind her back. I can’t help but chew on the inside of my cheek, the close proximity to her already overwhelming all of my senses.

She sighs contently and clasps her hands loosely around my neck, bringing her head up to lay it just below my shoulder. Her body shudders under mine, and I can feel her erratic heartbeat thumping against my chest.

“You’ve never done anything like this,” I whisper loud enough for her to hear and she shakes her head, agreeing with me. “You’ve never danced with someone you’ve just met. It makes you nervous and you’re wondering if you’re going to get caught up in it—in me.” I’m tilling the line now. I know we don’t have a future—hell, or even a tomorrow. The moment I’m done with this case, Wood and I are out of here and it’s not likely for us to come back. But I want to show her what it’s like to let go, even for a night.

“I want to let go,” she whispers and I wonder if she intended for me to hear it.

I keep silent as we dance and move to the song, the melodic melody lulling us farther into each other. Her scent engulfs me, her presence surrounds me, and her being holds mine. I’ve never felt such a thing, but we cling to one another. Stuck—the good kind of stuck, of course. The kind of stuck I never want to leave.

When the song ends and the band exits the stage, the crowd disperses. But instead of going back to our booth, McKenna and I stay in our spot, listening to the music on the jukebox that now fills the air.

“We should do something.”

She lifts her head, looking into my eyes with a glint of mischievous in her own. “Do what?”

I grip my hands harder around her and shrug both of my shoulders. “Something fun—something crazy.”

She groans. “You’re using that word again—crazy. We’re in Summerson, Declan. This is the craziest it gets around here.” She pulls back to look at me.

“Well, then let’s go somewhere else.”

“It’s almost one in the morning. Where are we going to go?”

I unlatch myself from her and pull out my phone, Googling a map of the world. “Close your eyes and point.”

McKenna tilts her head and the corners of her mouth twitch. “You’re serious? I can’t just leave. I don’t have the money to go buy a plane ticket. Plus, I have to work tomorrow, and Declan…” She slaps my arm. “Aren’t you on a case?”

I chuckle. “Aren’t you this all-knowing witch? Let’s blip there and come back. Two hours. Tops.”

Her nostrils flare as she contemplates my offer. “I don’t blip.” She smiles and bites her thumbnail. “But we can Dissipate. But I’ve never done it with another person before.”

I straighten my back. “Now is as good of a time as ever. Let’s do it. Now, point.”

Her honey eyes widen when she sees my seriousness. “Really?”

“Yes, really. Do it. Let’s go.”

She takes a deep breath and closes her eyes, twirling her finger above my phone. After a few theatrics, she lands on a spot. Opening one eye, she realizes where her finger landed.

“We can’t.”

I nod. “We can.”

Blog Tour : The Truth of A Liar

“Life doesn’t always go according to plan. In fact, it has a nasty habit of veering off the map. So when my job led me to New York City, something extraordinary happened…her script merged with mine.”

Hadley Theater, New York City, New York - Night

ENTER STAGE LEFT-Rowan Townsend, a twenty-nine year old Broadway starlet, strolls onto the dark, ominous stage. The bright spotlight finds her and she smiles broadly, her body buzzing in anticipation.

Rowan

Serendipity is a funny thing, isn’t it? It jumps out from behind the bushes and offers an unbelievable
chance at happiness. It’s hopeful and intriguing, and maybe even a little terrifying.

ENTER STAGE RIGHT-Lark Hawthorne, a striking twenty-nine year old FBI agent and self-proclaimed liar, marches to Rowan and grabs her arm, coaxing her off stage.

Lark

Rowan, what are you doing? We need to leave. It’s not safe here.

Rowan and Lark look out into the audience and a menacing shadow in the back of the theater catches
their attention. Her eyes expand in panic and he grips her hand tighter, offering reassurance.

EXCERPT & TEASERS

I don’t care if it’s sinful. This feeling, right now, it makes all of the bad in my life seem like child’s play in comparison. Landon and Cameron…they’re distant memories.

It’s almost as if I’ve waited all of my life to feel this way with this man.

“I want you. So much, Rowan,” Lark whispers. He reverberates pain, yet his voice is heady. Strained, he hisses as I move my hands lower, settling on the hem of his pants.

I move my head to look at him. I place my hand on his cheek, and touch his bottom lip with my thumb. He’s so soft, yet so incredibly masculine. I want to climb inside of his mind and explore every inch of him. I want to discover all of his inner workings, his secrets. The ones he’ll openly admit to and the ones he hides under his bed.

He clenches his teeth, but his eyes are inquisitive, curious. We stare at each other for an incalculable
amount of time. The seconds seem to pass at a glacial pace and in this moment, I’m thankful. I know
when this ends, it’ll be done for good.

It’s almost as if I’m visiting a foreign place and it’s my last day and I know if I don’t sample the unique cuisine and take mental pictures of the scenery, I’ll never find the feeling deep inside of me again. It’ll be lost forever.

My stomach flops at the thought.

“Lark.” I breathe. Saying his name in this setting is enough to send me over the edge and into the
unknown.

His body vibrates as the word passes my lips, and he moves his face closer to mine. His lips are
millimeters from making contact and all I’d have to do is breathe and we’d be connected, but I refuse to move.

“Say it, again,” he demands, his breath washing over my face. “This might be the last time. Say it one
more time, please. For me.” He closes his eyes with a small smile playing on the edge of his lips. His
hand makes its way up to my face again and he clings to me as if I’m his anchor, tethering him to this
world.

I muster all of the courage I have and mutter his name, letting it float out of my mouth, my lips brushing his in the slightest.

Lark hisses, and this time, I know it’s in longing.

EXCERPT & TEASER

“I very desperately want to kiss you.”

My mouth forms into a line. “And that’s bad because…?”

He takes a deep intake of air into his lungs and looks at me. I mean—really looks at me. Deep into my being. “Because I’m afraid if do, I won’t be able to stop.”

I elevate my body and collapse onto his chest. “Then, don’t.” If anything is like his previous kisses, I’m in for a passionate road ahead.

His hand reaches behind my head and I watch in slow motion as his beautiful face moves toward mine. The moment our lips touch, all of my other senses go haywire, feeling everything. Pleasure, need, hunger…want. So much want. I want everything he has to offer. In this moment, I don’t care what the future holds. I don’t care if he finds out about my shattered past and hates it. In this instant, I only care about him and the feelings he’s unleashing in and on my body.

His grip on my hair tightens as the kiss deepens. We moan together, feeling the pleasure poring from our bodies. His lips are sweet at first. Restrained and guarded. Almost as if he’s willing himself to slow down. But, I don’t want him controlled. I want him wild. I want him like the rain pours down. Taking no prisoners. The rain doesn’t care who it drenches; it just comes down, down, down. Soaking you. I want him forceful and firm, taking me how he wants. Just like the rain.

The thought of stopping makes me physically ill. This moment, being with him, in his warm, comforting embrace might be the most beautiful moment of my life. It’s heated and perfect. Stopping isn’t an option.

My hands move down his torso, taut and hard. His muscles move and bend under my touch and I feel myself growing wet as every second passes. The swirl of his tongue sends me high and I bite his bottom lip.

“I don’t think I’ve wanted anything or anyone as much as I want you, my Pretty Girl,” he hums in between kissing up and down my neck. “Nothing is as good as being with you. You have me soaring.”

He doesn’t have much time to say anything else before I’m pulling him up by his shirt, lifting it up and over his head. He grabs at my blouse, unbuttoning every button with detailed precision. When he opens my shirt, he simply stares, eyes electric. He puts his hand in between my breasts and just touches—feels.

“Come to bed with me. As much as I want you. Here. Now, I’ve gotta have you in bed. Slowly.”

I nod my head, unable to form any coherent words. It’s almost as if the hand that’s resting on my chest is somehow digging into my body, willing my heart to beat violently. He’s able to control me.

I wonder if I do the same.

I gently move off of his body and stand, watching him swing his legs off the couch. His body lifts and like a peacock, he looks big and alarming. Proud.

Grabbing my hand, he leads me up the stairs, stopping half way to pin me against the wall to thoroughly kiss me.

Hauling me to his room, he opens the door, turns on a small light on his nightstand and the cool air whooshes against my face. The blindingly white down blanket shines bright, but the dark, patterned pillows offset the brightness of the covers.

“Christ, you’re beautiful.”
