Blog Tour : Sweet Sunshine

She’s a romantic at heart.

Chloe Delaney had three very specific wishes, growing up. She wished to stay settled
in the small mountain town of Pembrooke, where she grew up, to one day be her
own boss, and to fall in love with a man who would be willing to go to the ends of
the earth for her. With her roots firmly planted in Pembrooke’s soil and her bakery,
Sinful Sweets, thriving, two of her wishes have already come true. When a
handsome single father moves to town, she’s certain she’s found the man to fill the
role of wish number three.
The only problem is, you can’t force a frog to turn into a prince.

He isn’t the Prince Charming type.

When Derrick Anderson moved from Jackson Hole to the small town of Pembrooke,
he did it determined to wipe the slate clean. After eight years spent trapped in a
miserable marriage, he’s made a vow to never take the plunge again. He wants to be
untethered, not tangled up in the strings that come with a committed relationship.
He has his daughter, his career, and an ex-wife hell bent on making his life
unbearable. His plate is already full.

The only problem is, he didn’t have a plan in place to protect his heart from her.

Neither of them were prepared for the course their lives would take. But once a
rollercoaster begins to move, you can’t just climb off, now can you?

The only thing they can do is strap in, hold on tight, and enjoy the ride.

EXCERPT & TEASERS

I was dreaming. I had to be. There was no other logical explanation for what was happening to me.

And it was the Best. Dream. Ever.

Something pulled me from the deepest recesses of sleep, and as I blinked my eyes open to the sight of the darkened room, my sleep-addled brain was still too drowsy to figure out what had woken me. As I stared out of the French doors, nothing but black blanketing the forest ahead, my whole body tensed at the realization that the tingles I’d been feeling thanks to the erotic dream I had of Derrick weren’t abating.

Then I realized why.

“Derrick?” I asked on a gasp as his large hand spanned against my belly, pushing me further back into him.

“Shh,” he whispered in my ear, just before pulling the lobe between his teeth and biting down.

“What are you d-doing?” My voice broke as a shudder worked its way up my throat.

“What I’ve been dying to do for what feels like forever,” was his bewildering answer.
I didn’t understand what was happening. We were supposed to be friends. Just friends. Yet, for the past few days he’d been acting like he wanted more from me. I couldn’t wrap my head around what was going on.

When the hell had he started wanting me? Until a few days ago I had no idea he’d even noticed I was a woman.

“I don’t…” I breathed as his tongue left a trail across my tingling flesh. “I don’t think—”

“Don’t think,” he rumbled. “Just feel, baby. Christ, you undo me.” He bit down on the tendon that ran from my neck down to my shoulder.

I moaned as the sting of pain sparked into something that made my blood run hot and my stomach clench. As he rained open-mouth kisses from ear to shoulder and back again, my hips involuntarily rocked back, pressing against the hardness of his erection. He groaned against my skin and I shivered as he continued his toe-curling assault. I’d never had a man pay such attention to that particular spot on my body, and it was driving me mad. It was as though every single nerve ending in my body was located right there. What he was doing to me made it impossible to control the needy sounds that fell from my lips. I was so turned on that rationality had flown out the window. There wasn’t tomorrow or the repercussions it could hold, there was only here… only now.

His voice was gravelly as he said, “So fucking sweet,” against my shoulder before biting down again.

“Mmm, Derrick.” I rolled my hips, pressing harder against his cock, desperate for something, some friction to help ease the pressure building between my thighs.

With a low, rumbling growl, one hand twisted into my hair, pulling my head back so hard my scalp stung, while the other snaked from my stomach to my breast and squeezed. I loved it. All of it. I went mindless with pleasure, nothing mattered but what Derrick was doing and how it made me feel. I couldn’t think, I could barely breathe the craving was so intoxicating.

“Oh God.” I rocked and rocked and rocked my hips back as he let go of my breast just long enough to reach under my t-shirt and palm it without any barrier.

“Love how you light up for me,” he moaned, thrusting his hips forward. “Are you wet, sunshine?”

“Derrick,” I whimpered as his hold on my hair enabled him to twist my head any which way he wanted so he could continue to feast on my skin. “I need…”

“What, baby?” Another bite from him, another groan from me. God, it was like he was ravenous for me. “What do you need?”

“More,” was all I was able to get out.

In a blink, I was on my back, my top whipped over my head as Derrick loomed above me, his hips forcing my thighs apart as he settled himself between them. His mouth claimed mine in a brutal, dominating kiss.

“Mmm, Chloe.” His moan vibrated through his chest and into mine as he trailed kisses along my jaw. “What are you doing to me?”

“I-I don’t know,” I panted, fisting his hair as my back arched beneath him, pressing my breasts into his firm, solid chest.

He slid against me, his rigid length pushing against where I needed it the most. At the pressure of his cock grinding against my core, my head fell back against the pillow, a low, guttural sound coming from deep within my throat.

“You drive me fucking crazy,” he murmured as his lips moved lower and lower. “I can’t get you out of my head, no matter how hard I try.”

His tongue flicked my straining nipple, shooting pulsing waves of pleasure to my center, making me even wetter, more desperate. With each lash of his tongue, my body writhed against his, searching for something to send me over the edge, into the abyss.

“Oh, God. Don’t stop doing that.” I let out a cry when his mouth pulled away.

He moved back up my body, his lips close to my ear when he whispered, “Tell me you want me inside you.” My mouth opened to follow his command only to get stuck in my throat. He let out a pained moan as his hips undulated against me. “Say it.”

About The Author

Born and raised around Houston Texas, Jessica spent most of her life complaining
about the heat, humidity, and all around pain in the ass weather. It was only as an
adult that she quickly realized the cost of living in Houston made up for not being
able to breathe when she stepped outside. That's why God created central air, after
all.

Jessica is the mother of a perfect little boy-- she refuses to accept that he inherited
her attitude and sarcastic nature no matter what her husband says.

In addition to being a wife and mom, she's also a wino, a coffee addict, and an avid
lover of all types of books-- romances still being her all time favs. Her husband likes
to claim that reading is her obsession but she just says it's a passion...there's a
difference. Not that she'd expect a boy to understand.

Jessica has been writing since she was a little girl, but thankfully grew out of
drawing her own pictures for her stories before ever publishing her first book.
Because an artist she is not.

Release Day : To Hate Adam Connor

So you may ask, who is Adam Connor? He is the recently divorced, Academy Award-winning actor who just moved in next door with his kid. He also happens to be an exquisite male specimen and the most infuriating sly bastard I’ve ever come across.

Let’s be honest here, wouldn’t you wanna take a peek over the wall to catch a glimpse of him, hopefully when he is naked? Wouldn’t you melt away after watching him work out as his five-year- old kid cheered him on? Do I even have to mention those abs, the big bulge in his pants, or that arm porn? Oh, wait, you would never spy on him? Sure…

While I was being thoughtful by not breaking and entering and was actually considering going over to offer him a shoulder—or maybe a boob or two—to cry on (y’know, because of his divorce), instead he had me thrown in jail after a small incident. Jail, people! He was supposed to grant me countless orgasms as a thank you, not a jail cell.

After that day, I was mentally plotting ways to strangle him instead of jumping his bones to make sweet love. So what if my body did more than just shiver when he whispered dirty little things in my ear? I can’t be held responsible for that. And when was the last time he’d kissed anyone anyway? Who’d enjoy a kiss with a side of heart attack?

Even if he and his son were the best things since sliced bread—and I’m not saying he was—I couldn’t fall for him. No matter what promises he whispered on my skin, my curse wouldn’t let us be. I wasn’t a damsel in distress—I could save myself, thank you very much—but deep inside, I still hoped Adam Connor would be the hero of my story.

EXCERPT & TEASER

“What is this?” he asked as his hand smoothed his wet T-shirt. He lifted his hand and shook off some of the water. We’d gotten him good. My eyes followed his hand because, oh Lord, I could see the outline of his abs and those pecs…Jesus. What a glorious view. He took a step forward, and I took a step back.

“Don’t come any closer.” I raised the gun.

He stopped, the expression on his face making my lady parts purr. Those eyes…goddamnit, those eyes!

“We’re cheering Aiden up,” I explained as I backed away from him since it didn’t look like he intended to stop.

“We? Looks to me like I’m the one doing all the work.”

“Well, you are the one who made him sad after all. It’s just a little water, Mr. Hotshot Movie Star, you
won’t melt away.”

“I think you will—”

I didn’t let him finish and blasted him with more water, right on his crotch.

He stopped speaking and looked down at his now wet pants. When he glanced up at me with a raised
eyebrow, I braced the gun at my hip and shrugged.

“Run, Lucy. Run for your life,” he murmured and then lunged at me. I saw him throw away his gun and before he could get to me, I turned around and ran.

“Incoming!” I yelled, letting Aiden know his dad was coming out. Another blast of water hit Adam’s face just before he could catch me. His fingers touched my arm, but with my ninja skills, I squealed and managed to slip away from him and the tingles his hand caused every freaking time he touched me.

Since my gun was empty, I reached for the fifth gun we’d hidden in the backyard and hit Adam from the other side.

Adam advanced toward Aiden, and he jumped up and ran away, laughing and screaming.

“Daddy, you can’t catch us!”

“Oh, trust me, I will.”

“You’re all wet now! We got you!”

“When I get my hands on you two, you’ll be singing a different tune.”

Adam pretended to catch Aiden, but then let him skirt away from him.

“You’re not catching Lucy! Catch Lucy!” Aiden screamed as he eyed his father to guess which way he’d run next.

“Hey now!” I yelled, but it was too late, my water gun jammed—the stupid thing. Before I could figureout what was wrong with it and fix it quickly, Adam quickened his steps and almost caught me.

Dropping the gun, I twisted away from him, but I was too slow. His arm sneaked around my waist, and he caught me just as I’d started running away. His chest cushioned my fall and I grunted with the force he drew me to himself. He circled his arms around me and whispered into my ear.

“Thank you for making him laugh, Lucy. But…”

I didn’t melt, nor did my heart quicken. Not at all. Zilch. I didn’t like him very much after all.

“I’m afraid I have to take you down. Aiden!” he shouted, and Aiden appeared in front of us, holding his weapon high.

“Aiden! Man down! Help me, little human!” I shouted.

“Let her go, Daddy!”

“Come and get her if you want her so much,” Adam replied, and his arms gave me a light squeeze as he leaned down and secretly pressed his lips against my neck.

The son of a bitch!

“I’ll save you, Lucy!”

Feeling free, safe, and happy, I dropped my head back on Adam’s shoulder and our eyes met. The smile that was stretching my lips slowly disappeared when I saw the look in his eyes.

Shit.

Shit.

Shit!

“You can’t look at me like that,” I whispered as he slowly backed us up. Despite all the cold water I’d
shot at him, his body was surprisingly warm against my back. And firm. And mouthwatering. And heart- quickening.

“Why not?”

“Because I’m not supposed to like you.”

The smile he gave me was soft and then suddenly his fingers were laced with mine against my chest.

“But I like you very much, Lucy.”

And just like that, before I could curse him, there was cold water all over my face.

“Aiden!” I sputtered as Adam’s chest shook with laughter.

“I’m shooting at him, Lucy! You’re in my way!”

“Aim at his face!” I yelled back.

“He got you!”

“He is right,” Adam repeated his son’s words. “I think I got you.”

“Think again,” I muttered and gave him a pitiful push with my elbow. And then another. I was pretty
sure I hurt myself more than I did him. Pathetic, I know…

He pulled me and we were falling back, and darn it, but I was still in his arms and couldn’t find it in me to complain.

We fell back into the pool with a big splash, and Adam let go of me. I swam back to the surface and
gasped for air. As soon as Adam’s head was above the water, Aiden started spraying him with more
water. I joined his son and splashed him as much as I could.

Adam lifted his arm and wiped the water off his eyes. After a mock growl, he yelled, “I’m coming for you, Aiden.”

I looked behind me to see Aiden squealing and running back inside the house. It was a good thing he’d remained fairly dry; I would’ve bet the hardwood floors and all those soft carpets had cost Adam some good money. When I turned my head back and saw Adam slowly swimming toward me, I panicked and tried my best to get away from him until my back hit the edge of the pool.

Adam dropped a little under water until all I could see were those glittering green eyes. Then before I
could control my heavy breathing and give my heart a good shake so it could get itself together, he was on me. His arms held on to the edge and trapped me in between his body and the tiled wall of the pool.

“First, you,” he said and my eyes dropped to his mouth. He wasn’t breathing as hard as I was, but he didn’t look all that calm either. “You have anything to say? Maybe an apology so I’ll take it easier on you?” he asked and my eyes jumped up to his.

“Why would I apologize?”

“For ambushing me.”

I tilted my head and tapped at my lips a few times with my index finger. “Nope.”

“Good.”

And just like that his lips were on mine. I grunted and tried to push his chest off me, but then his hands grabbed one of mine from between us and laced our fingers again.

Damn him.

Damn him and his skillful tongue that had just pushed its way into my mouth.

About The Author

I’m an avid reader. Therefore, a big dreamer. I love nothing more than to escape real life to find those
very few magical moments in a book. I love how it has the power of stealing your worries away, putting a smile on your face, and of course sometimes making you crush on fictional characters. If I can manage to do even one of those things for a reader, I will be a happy writer.

Publishing my debut novel, I’m Yours is the scariest thing I’ve probably ever done before. However, it is also by far the most exciting thing. I can only hope to become a better writer with each new book.

My beautiful girl (A Golden Retriever) is my sunshine all year around, but I still prefer Fall over any other seasons. Danishes, In&Out Burger, Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream, and Peanut Butter M&M’s will always stay as my guilty pleasures, and they can also double as bribes!

Notes From Me : This book looks interesting and certainly intrigue me. You guys might see a review of this from me in the future :) Sorry, I've been inactive but school like always has been super tiring.

Blog Tour : Seven

DEVASTATION

Moving back home wasn't anything I ever wanted.
But after enduring the worst,
Going home was the only answer.
Being back is everything I thought it would be...
Awful, isolating, a constant reminder of what I lost.
And the last thing I need-- or want-- is more reminders of my past,
Especially Bryant Wood.

GUILT

That's all I feel-- all I can see when I look at Savannah Turner.
I want to hold her, feel her, love her,
And thank her for what's she given me.
But I can't show her the gratitude.
The relief.
The gift she's given me.
I won't.
It'll ruin everything.
A secret I must keep-- a secret that could break her.
Shatter her.
Destroy her.
All over again.

EXCERPT & TEASERS

Pulling McKenna close to my body, I lock my hands behind her back. I can’t help but chew on the inside of my cheek, the close proximity to her already overwhelming all of my senses.

She sighs contently and clasps her hands loosely around my neck, bringing her head up to lay it just below my shoulder. Her body shudders under mine, and I can feel her erratic heartbeat thumping against my chest.

“You’ve never done anything like this,” I whisper loud enough for her to hear and she shakes her head, agreeing with me. “You’ve never danced with someone you’ve just met. It makes you nervous and you’re wondering if you’re going to get caught up in it—in me.” I’m tilling the line now. I know we don’t have a future—hell, or even a tomorrow. The moment I’m done with this case, Wood and I are out of here and it’s not likely for us to come back. But I want to show her what it’s like to let go, even for a night.

“I want to let go,” she whispers and I wonder if she intended for me to hear it.

I keep silent as we dance and move to the song, the melodic melody lulling us farther into each other. Her scent engulfs me, her presence surrounds me, and her being holds mine. I’ve never felt such a thing, but we cling to one another. Stuck—the good kind of stuck, of course. The kind of stuck I never want to leave.

When the song ends and the band exits the stage, the crowd disperses. But instead of going back to our booth, McKenna and I stay in our spot, listening to the music on the jukebox that now fills the air.

“We should do something.”

She lifts her head, looking into my eyes with a glint of mischievous in her own. “Do what?”

I grip my hands harder around her and shrug both of my shoulders. “Something fun—something crazy.”

She groans. “You’re using that word again—crazy. We’re in Summerson, Declan. This is the craziest it gets around here.” She pulls back to look at me.

“Well, then let’s go somewhere else.”

“It’s almost one in the morning. Where are we going to go?”

I unlatch myself from her and pull out my phone, Googling a map of the world. “Close your eyes and point.”

McKenna tilts her head and the corners of her mouth twitch. “You’re serious? I can’t just leave. I don’t have the money to go buy a plane ticket. Plus, I have to work tomorrow, and Declan…” She slaps my arm. “Aren’t you on a case?”

I chuckle. “Aren’t you this all-knowing witch? Let’s blip there and come back. Two hours. Tops.”

Her nostrils flare as she contemplates my offer. “I don’t blip.” She smiles and bites her thumbnail. “But we can Dissipate. But I’ve never done it with another person before.”

I straighten my back. “Now is as good of a time as ever. Let’s do it. Now, point.”

Her honey eyes widen when she sees my seriousness. “Really?”

“Yes, really. Do it. Let’s go.”

She takes a deep breath and closes her eyes, twirling her finger above my phone. After a few theatrics, she lands on a spot. Opening one eye, she realizes where her finger landed.

“We can’t.”

I nod. “We can.”

My heart hammered in my chest. “Why do you ask me my favorites all the time?”

Dean grinned and then bent to kiss my lips. “I’ve never wanted to get to know a girl. I want to know
every part of you and every favorite you have. Everything that makes you happy so that I can be the
person who never lets you down and always brings you your favorites.”

Oh my.

“Well, I want to know your favorites too. Let me think…” I tapped my finger on my chin. “Where’s your favorite place for me to kiss you?” As soon as the question escaped from my mouth, the meaning hit my brain. Dean had a wicked gleam in his eyes, and I hid my face in his chest. “Oh, Lord. Did I just ask that?”

His chuckle rumbled beneath me. “You did. And I love your dirty little mind, Red. If I’m being honest, I can’t answer that. Cause you haven’t kissed me everywhere… yet.”

Mortified. I was absolutely mortified. I had a choice. I could be shy and feel awkward, or I could own it.

Two seconds later I decided. I was owning it.

I raised my head and pressed a kiss on his chest. Then I lifted onto my elbows and shimmied a bit downhis body.

“Let’s rectify that, shall we?”

Book Review : The Heir and The Spare

HELLO everybody, I know what you guys are probably thinking :" 2 reviews in a row when it's usually every couple of months. What is happening??" HAHAHA I'm being lame so please bear with me :) I was thinking that I might as well do one now before school starts to get busy again and consume all of my free time. Besides, I just finished reading this book and I totally love it and decide why not write a review of it too !! So here goes nothing

Hmm.. Where should I start ?? I've always loved reading or watching stories that involve royalty in it. For example, I love love the Prince and me movie series even after they changed almost everybody in the cast so of course, my fav movie was the first one with Julia Stiles in it. Who here loves that movie too ?? Put your hands up my brother and sister !! Okay, anyway my point was I have alway been drawn into these royalty romance stories so when I saw this book, I just know I need to read it.

Well first, I find that the story is not too draggy or too long. I won't say that it was instant love but it's those kinds of attractions that you can really see. And I really like the pace that they took for their relationship. Sometimes it's hard to read a story where the main characters just met and then bam they fall in love because it's very hard to believe that kind of things happen in real life. Not saying they don't though, just saying that it is pretty damn rare. See, I'm not that cynical ;)

Another thing that I like is, of course, the Prince aka Edmund !! He's different from those other prince and girl story as he is not the heir to the throne. He is actually the second price of England. He is like fictional Prince Harry in this book. I love how the author put in all these fun facts about history and England through Edmund. I always love some good history facts !! It's very easy to fall in love with him too so if you're gonna be reading this book, better prepare yourself for some Edmund lovinnnn

Next, our main girl, Evangeline but called Evie by everybody. I mean come on, isn't that such a lovely name. Reminds me of how the kids from Nanny Mcphee 1 pronounce it, so everytime I see that name I can just hear that voice in my head saying "Evangeline" with that  cute accent and pronunciation. I like how strong she is as a person plus she thinks that David Tennant was the best doctor in doctor who so, of course, I liked her straight away

Lastly, I really like how the problems in this book are not the same as other books that involve a celebrity or royalty. The author didn't make the paparazzi and the press be such a big deal like I have seen in so many books. Their problems are much bigger and I feel is more personal. I mean I know being in the spotlight is probably very hard and cause problems, that was briefly shown here but it wasn't made into such a big deal by the characters.

I'm gonna give this book a 5/5 and it is definitely on my favourite royalty books list. Keep a look out for her new book "Everyday Magic" which is a spin-off of this book that includes Preston, one of Evie and Edmund's close friend. I'm really excited for this book since I really like him in this book and I can't wait to see his own story unfold.

SYNOPSIS

Family can be complicated. Especially when skeletons from the past pop up unexpectedly. For American Evie Gray, finding out her deceased mother had a secret identity, and not one of the caped crusader variety, was quite the surprise. Evie’s mom had a secret life before she was even born, one that involved tiaras.

In this modern day fairytale, Evie is on a path to figure out who her mom really was, while discovering for herself what the future will hold. Charged with her late mother’s letters, Evie embarks on a quest into her past. The first item on the list is to attend Oxford, her mom’s alma mater. There, Evie stumbles upon a real life prince charming, Edmund Stuart the second Prince of England, who is all too happy to be the counterpart to her damsel in distress.

Evie can’t resist her growing attraction to Edmund as they spend more time together trying to unravel the clues her mother left behind. But, when doubts arise as to whether or not Edmund could ever be with an untitled American, what really ends up unraveling is Evie’s heart. When Evie uncovers all the facts about her mom’s former life, she realizes her mom’s past can open doors she never dreamed possible, doors that can help her be with Edmund. But, with everything now unveiled, Evie starts to crack under the pressure of new family responsibilities and the realization that her perfect prince may want her for all the wrong reasons.
